Yay…it’s Feature Friday again, and today I’m so happy to share Greenberries, an upscale consignment boutique located at 6925 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia, MD. This store is awesome! I was so excited to get the opportunity to take a few pictures around the store. So many beautiful toys and clothes and I love bright colors. I could spend days looking around at all the cool things they have. The best part…they sell earth friendly toys, cloth diapers and lots of great products for new moms. I was so impressed with all the new things that are out there for babies/kids. After my daughter was born we cloth diapered…and I so wish I would have known about this store back then. What a great resource for new moms!! They also offer a large number of classes to help get new parents off to a great start. They have been voted best Consignment Store by readers of  Maryland Family Magazine…and I can see why. I did a little shopping myself…while my kiddos played in their play area, which is another awesome reason to check out the store. Check out some of the pictures I got…

This is the owner Rachel (left)…and Shannon (right) the social media & events manager at Greenberries.

Of course I had to include my kids in the pictures. They had a ball in there. So make a trip over to Greenberries and check out all the great stuff. I know I’ll be shopping there all the time:)

Also…be sure to get yourself registered for the Howard County 5K Fun Run. Greenberries is sponsoring the run and I’ll be there taking pictures of the event!!

It’s my first post for “Feature Friday”…whoohoo! My first stop was Whirlz Yogurt Bar located at 4725 Dorsey Hall Drive Ste F in Ellicott City. I’m a huge fan of anything frozen dessert…so this was an easy task for me. I lugged my peanut with me to meet with Bryan the owner. I immediately knew I was going to like this place; bright colors…fun booths to sit in…2 tv’s and it’s all at your own pace. You get to decide how much you want..and what toppings you want. What more could a mom with little ones ask for? After talking with Bryan, I learned that his dream for the store is for it to be a meeting place for people, especially moms. He even has a huge Disney movie collection to keep your kids entertained while you get to chat with your mom friends. He also mentioned how much he likes to get involved in the local community. He’s hiring young people from the area, and he supports local schools and organizations. How great is that? They are open Mon-Thurs from 11am-9pm…Fri & Sat. from 11am-10pm and Sun 11am-9pm. They serve all ranges of frozen yogurt…regular, low sugar, dairy free…and for toppings…wow…you name it! Even tootsie rolls:)He’s going to be adding a few things in the future like serving crepes…and coffee….yeh…I’m gonna be in there ALL the time:)

So I decided I needed to test out the yogurt…you know…for research. My little guy and I sampled the key lime..and it was delicious. I snapped a few pictures so you could see how awesome it is inside. It makes me happy when I walk in…and those are the kind of stores I like to shop in. Have a look:

This is Bryan…say hi to Bryan……..

And here’s more around the store

Be sure to like Whirlz on Facebook  and be on the lookout for an upcoming event Bryan & I are going to partner on. If you’re a mom and you want to take better pictures of your kids, you’ll want to stay tuned!! Thanks again for letting me stop in Bryan…and I’m looking forward to my next visit to Whirlz Yogurt Bar!!

Looking for a fun way to get involved and help out a great cause? Check out the Howard County Fun Run 5k set for Saturday, October 5, 2013. The run will benefit Athletes Serving Athletes and is brought to the community by the Stroller Strides of Howard County & Greenberries Consignment Boutique. The best part? I’ll be there too…so you can come on over and meet me and have fun in my photo booth:)The great folks at CertifiKid have a great deal for you too. Check out their link for a discount on an adult entry. Be sure to stop by and say hello!!!

So I have decided to start making Fridays, “Feature Friday”. What’s that you ask? Well…I’m going to start getting to know the town I live in. It’s about time right? I’ve been here for almost 4 months…I should start getting to know some of the small businesses around here. So I thought it would be a great idea to start highlighting some of these awesome local businesses. I will go check out the store…with at least 1 if not both kids in tow…and hopefully interview the owner and/or some loyal customers. I hope to be able to take some pictures while I’m there and come back and blog to ya’ll about all the great things I find. I’ve got a list started and I can’t wait to get out there and find some more. Happy Friday!! Make sure to check back next Friday!!
